Established in the mid-50s, the Deschutes Motel has been providing the city of Maupin with lodging at an affordable price to its loyal customers. The originating family recently sold the property to the North’s, who relocated to the Maupin area after a lifetime in Portland.  Dave and Dawna North fell in love with the city of Maupin over 10 years ago when they began rafting the river they hold so close to their hearts, the Deschutes. After years of seeking an investment and escape, it only seemed natural to the North’s to purchase the motel when they decided that Maupin would become their new home. The North’s bring decades of customer service excellence to their new business venture and hope you’ll think Deschutes Motel the next time you seek that retreat from the city and recreate in the sunshine.
